good bye xanga, faithful friend

I've been blogging for a while now, and there are bits and pieces of my thoughts and ideas strewn all over cyberspace. I've decided to put everything in one spot. It's part of my "De-clutterization 2008 Campaign." I know there are a lot of people who subscribe to the private blog plus "professional" blog system, and I was one of them, but I just can't keep it all up as effectively as I want to.

So, please add my new all-in-one super blog to your reading list, as I will not be adding to this one anymore:

to do:

i can't express how excited i am to recieve my new camera. we had it shipped to dave's dad's house so i could start using it on our little vacation. sigh. i toyed with the idea of getting a better model, but really, i think once you get to a certain point, it's all in the lens. this is compatible with the entire canon EOS system, and some other brands, so i'll definitely be adding one or two for versitility.

jodi, any lens suggestions?

i might post while we're away, but in case i don't i hope eeveryone has a great holiday time!

christmas plans

wow. december...it's like it never happened, because, really, by now it may as well be over.

dave and i are thinking of doing a road trip from this friday through the 27th. we need to do something, that's for sure. the pace and schedules we've been keeping aren't good and it's definitley starting to show. plus, it will be nice for dave to have a little vacation before he starts working (god willing). and, i need a vacation. grace is giving some bonus time to everyone because of going through the move, so i have the week between christmas and new year's completely off.

here is our proposed route:

1. pittsburgh for shoes.
2. myrtle beach for christmas with dave's dad and mary jo.
3. atlanta to see chris. (this has been deleted because chris is out of town that week. ugh.)
4. chattanooga to see the campbell's.
5. cincinnatti to see trader joes (note to self: pack a cooler in the car).
6. cleveland to see chipotle (note to self: don't eat on the 27th).
7. erie to see people who are mad we left for christmas.

to do before we leave:

• car maintenence, oil change, inspection
• play rock band 2 times
• go christmas shopping
• buy a new camera
